Sorry if this is listed somewhere already, but what minis come with DM version and what are included in upgrade pack?
Will I need to download(and pay for) 50 six figure packs to have a good selection?-

The GM’s Edition comes with 12 miniatures of your choice (backers will not be required to choose their minis until there is a “critical mass” of minis available). Additionally, the Okumarts Darkfast Fantasy Classics pawn-style minis are included, as well as one set of Okumarts pawn-style minis of your choice.
You can also use images to create custom minis as “cardstock” pawns, silhouettes, or tokens.

Is there a thread to view available mini/terrain pics?

Sorry for the delay, somehow I missed this post.
The focus for Tabletop Connect, until we hit the v0.5 milestone is on features over assets. I’ve had a recent request for an FAQ page, I’ll try to add a media page with previews of the assets that are available.

Wonderful. I honestly thought I already backed your Kicker but guess not. I’m definitely interested but really wanna see what I’d be getting and what I’d have to purchase in the future.
I currently use…another VTT and its all fan run, open source, and free but is nothing compared to this. Would definitely want a wide variety of models but not so sure I want to pay a lot for a bunch of small bundles.-

It’s okay. You’re allowed to mention other VTTs here. I’m guessing that you are using MapTool or the RPTools variant.
As far as minis go, don’t forget that you can also use images to create three variants of custom minis: cardstock, silhouette, and token.

Allowing cardboard minis is a definite plus.
You are correct in that I use MapTools and I have been using Neverwinter Nights 2 toolset for 3d renderings as well. I did a lot of work with those tools in the past working for persistent worlds so NWN2 is second nature, BUT there’s a limited amount of creature models available so I’ve been looking to upgrade. -

Hmmm…will this tool have the ability to import models?

No. This will be covered more in depth in the FAQ.
